Initial registration for the Joint Information Platform on Natural Hazards (GIN) takes about ten minutes. Once you have registered, you can use the platform on your computer. Setting up the GIN app on your smartphone or tablet takes an additional ten minutes.

The GIN office provides a user manual, the official training documents and background information. The background information documents include explanations of how, for example, discharge volumes and flood probabilities are determined or the basis for hydrological forecasts and warnings.

There are short explanatory videos on how to use various functions in GIN.
